Current In-Service Apparatus
The OFC currently has 6 apparatus in-service. 1 class "A" pumper, 1 pumper tender, 1 tactical pumper, 1 brush unit, and 1 foam trailer.
Our Class "A" Pumper is a standard engine. This truck is our first due to fire calls or residential and commercial calls. It can equipt four firefighters with SCBA, tools and handlines. One officer can also be equipped with a SCBA capable jumpseat.
Our Pumper Tender is our second due for fire calls or residential and commercial calls. It also responds for tanker task force dispatches and special assignments. This truck has four SCBA capable jumpseats, one officer's seat, and two crew seats which can fold up to make more room in the cab for alternate uses. It also carries 2,500 gallons of water and minimal firefighting tools.
Our Tactical "Front End" Pumper is our first due for motor vehicle accidents, and our third due for fire calls. This truck can be first due to fire calls in extreme weather due to it's four wheel drive capability. It is equipped with tools necessary to aid in stabilization of vehicles and also provides fire protection on scene via a 750 gpm front end pump. Front end pumps are located on the front bumper for tactical, hence the name Tactical 24, reasons; for example, Front end pumps are preferable when drafting out of rivers and streams because you can get the pump closer to the water source.
Our Brush unit is first due for brush fires, excluding Rt. 78 brush fires, and various other types of calls such as wire fires. It carries 200 gallons of water and specialized brush fire tools.
